Marine Scandella is a sociology Ph.D at the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès, and she has been working on her thesis at the Geosciences Environment Toulouse laboratory (CNRS) since 2021. Trained in social sciences research, she specializes in the sociology of risks, health, and the environment. Her doctoral work is part of the interdisciplinary research program "ANR APIMAMA" (2022-2025), dedicated to studying groups of women overexposed to atmospheric pollution in Abidjan. This exposure is due to their use of polluting combustion energies (wood, charcoal) for domestic and professional practices.

Marine Scandella est doctorante en sociologie à l’Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès et elle prépare sa thèse au sein du laboratoire Géosciences Environnement Toulouse (CNRS) depuis 2021. Formée à la recherche en sciences sociales, elle se spécialise dans la sociologie des risques, de la santé et de l’environnement. Son travail doctoral s’inscrit dans le programme de recherche interdisciplinaire « ANR APIMAMA » (2022-2025) consacré à l’étude de groupes de femmes surexposées à la pollution atmosphérique à Abidjan, du fait de leur utilisation d’énergies de combustion polluantes (bois, charbon de bois) pour des pratiques domestiques et professionnelles.
