Pon Jean-Baptiste Coulibaly est enseignant-chercheur, maître de conférences en archéologie à l’Université Joseph Ki-Zerbo (Burkina Faso). Ses travaux publiés portent notamment sur la paléométallurgie du fer, l’art rupestre, les pratiques funéraires et la sculpture sur bois. Il a été chef du Département d’histoire et d’archéologie de 2022 à 2025. Il est également membre du Conseil d’administration du Musée national du Burkina Faso et de la Commission nationale des biens culturels.

Pon Jean-Baptiste Coulibaly is a lecturer and researcher in archaeology at Joseph Ki-Zerbo University (Burkina Faso). His published research focuses on iron paleometallurgy, rock art, funerary practices, and wood carving. He served as Head of the Department of History and Archaeology from 2022 to 2025. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Museum of Burkina Faso and the National Commission for Cultural Property.
