Copyright, License and Archiving

 

Authors retain copyright of their research manuscripts and receive clear credit and ownership of their work. Authors grant Global Africa non-exclusive rights of publication, reproduction, communication, copying, creation of derivative works and distribution. They are free to disseminate their article, but must indicate that it has been published in Global Africa (providing bibliographic data with assigned DOI).

 

The authors agree to publish their articles under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY-NC 4.0) non-commercial license. The CC BY-NC 4.0 license enables the articles to be shared, copied, reproduced, distributed, communicated, reused and adapted by any means and in any format. All uses of the work or derivative works, except for commercial purposes, are permitted. Reuse of open-access material is allowed without further permission, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, as well as a link to the Creative Commons license, and that all modifications made are clearly stated.

 

To ensure long-term archiving, all issues of Global Africa are archived using the CLOCKSS long-term system. Global Africa allows authors to deposit the submitted, accepted and published versions of their papers in an institutional or other repository without embargo with the agreement of their co-authors, they indicate the url of the original article published in Global Africa.
