Dr. Zintle Ntshongwana is a lecturer in the Social Work Department at Wits University, where she has been since 2022. Before this, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Fort Hare. She holds a PhD, along with Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work from the same institution. Dr. Ntshongwana has made significant contributions to her field. She is a Female Academic Leaders Fellow (FALF). She received various awards, including the Emerging Scholar Award at the International Conference on Health, Wellness & Society in both 2022 and 2023, a Faculty of Humanities Research Recognition and is a Mellon Catalyst recipient. Her research interests include family social work, foster care, domestic and gender-based violence, and disability.
