thomas.calvo@ird.frThomas Calvo is a research fellow at the Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD) and a member of the Laboratoire d'économie de Dauphine (LEDa), DIAL team. He defended his thesis in 2020 at the University of Paris-Dauphine. He continued his work at the OECD and then at IRSEM before joining the IRD at the end of 2022. His research is in the field of development economics and focuses on issues of violence, governance and climate change. He works mainly on Madagascar, Mali and Brazil.
