Ousmane Z Traore is a lecturer at Laval University in Canada and a permanent researcher at the Groupe de Recherche en Économie Appliquée et Théorique (GREAT). He holds a PhD in Agroeconomics from Laval University in Canada, where he pursued his research as a postdoctoral researcher. Previously, he obtained a Diplôme d'Étude Approfondie (DEA) in Agricultural Economics and Policy at the Université Ouaga II in Burkina Faso and at the University of Ghana as part of the Programme d'Excellence de Post Cycle Interuniversitaire (PTCI). He also holds a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Analysis and Economic Policy from the University of Bamako in Mali. His research interests include econometric modelling, applied statistics, international trade, experimental and behavioural economics, production and consumption economics, and data science/machine learning. He has significant research experience. For example, he has published in several prestigious journals, including the Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics/Revue canadienne d'agroéconomie and the European Review of Agricultural Economics.
