I am a Professor of Private Law at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Bukavu and at the Higher Institute of Rural Development in Bukavu. I am also a visiting professor at the Evangelical University in Africa, the Official University of Bukavu, the University of Notre Dame of Tanganyika in Uvira, the University of Goma, the Catholic University La Sapientia of Goma, the Free University of the Great Lakes Countries in Goma, and the Higher Institute of Computer Science and Management in Goma.
Beyond teaching, I serve as the Head of the Private Law Department at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Bukavu and as the Head of the Gender and Sustainable Development Department at the Higher Institute of Rural Development in Bukavu.
I hold a PhD in Legal Sciences and defended my dissertation at the Catholic University of Louvain. My doctoral research focused on “The Protection of Widows in the Democratic Republic of Congo: How effective is it?" In addition to my Law degree from the Catholic University of Bukavu, I also hold a Master's in Human Rights from the Louvain Academy (Belgium).
A lawyer and member of the South Kivu Bar Association, I am also a consultant and specialist in gender issues, women's and children's rights, family mediation, and customary matters.
Currently, I am a member of the Scientific Committee of the Francophone Network of Women Leaders in Higher Education and Research (RESUFF) and of the Femme & Law Association (Belgium).
I am also married and the mother of three boys and two girls. Assistant Couple Coordinator of Couples and Families (ACF) within the Diocese of Bukavu.
