Marion Mercier is a research fellow at the CNRS and a member of the Laboratoire d'Economie de Dauphine (LEDa), DIAL team (Development, Institutions, Globalisation). She defended her thesis in 2014 at the Paris School of Economics, then continued her research as a post-doctoral fellow at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Université catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve, before joining Paris-Dauphine in 2017. Her research is in the field of development economics and focuses on issues of conflict, political economy and international migration. In particular, she has worked on Mali and Burundi. She is also a corresponding researcher at IRES (Belgium) and an affiliated researcher at IZA (Germany), CEPREMAP (France) and ICMigrations (France).
