Maïrama Tamboura is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at Joseph Ki-Zerbo University of Ouagadougou (UO) in Burkina Faso. She completed her master's degree at the Catholic University of West Africa in Bobo-Dioulasso (UCAO-UUB), focusing on social perceptions and household waste management in the city of Ouagadougou. She then joined the le Laboratoire Société Mobilité et Environnement (LASME) at the UO Graduate School to pursue her PhD. Her research explores the co-production of urban drinking water services in the informal settlements of Ouagadougou from a socio-anthropological perspective. In her studies, she emphasizes the commons approach to analyze issues related to the governance of water services beyond centralized management models.
