Jean-Pierre Olivier De Sardan is Director of Research Emeritus at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), and Director of Studies at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHSS, France). Olivier de Sardan is also an associate professor at Abdou Moumouni University in Niamey (Niger), where he is the scientific director of the Master’s degree in socio-anthropology of health. He is a founding member of Lasdel (Laboratory of Studies and Research on Social Dynamics and Local Development).
