Gassim Sylla was born on May 3, 1990, in Kissidougou (Republic of Guinea). He was the winner of the 2020 edition of the "Harmattan Guinée" award, as part of a writing call on coronavirus with the theme "The book in the service of the fight against Covid-19." Gassim Sylla is a Ph.D. candidate in social anthropology at the École Nationale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS de Lyon), in co-supervision with the Université Général Lansana Conte de Sonfonia Conakry (UGLC-SC). He is also a research assistant at the Triangle UMR 5206 laboratory (France) and the Centre de Recherche et de Formation en Infectiologie de Guinée (Cerfig).
