Frederic Le Marcis is an anthropologist. He is a professor at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) of Lyon and a member of the Triangle laboratory (UMR 5206). He is currently on leave as a research director at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) within the TransVIHMI laboratory (UMI 233), and assigned to the Centre for Research and Training in Infectiology of Guinea (CERFIG). His research focuses on the long-term perspectives and logic of risk management models, using two empirical case studies from the African continent: prisons and epidemics.
