Dr. Cheikh CISSE is an urban planner, geographer, lecturer, and consultant in urban development. An affiliate researcher at the African Studies Centre at Leiden University (Netherlands), he has developed expertise in urban planning and sustainable development. He is dedicated to analyzing the contemporary challenges faced by cities, particularly in Africa, regarding sustainable housing, sustainable transportation, climate change, and ecological and energy transitions. His research and consultancy work aim to promote innovative solutions for resilient and sustainable cities.
