Professor Abdoulaye Touré is the Director General of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) of the Republic of Guinea. An Associate Professor of Public Health at the Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry (UGANC), he also serves as the Director of the Guinea Center for Research and Training in Infectiology (Cerfig), an institution established by UGANC, the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), Inserm, and the University of Montpellier.
Professor Touré is also the Chair of Public Health and Pharmaceutical Legislation at UGANC. Alongside Eric Delaporte, he co-leads the International Mixed Laboratory (LMI) RESPIRE, focusing on "Research, Education, Care, and Safety in (Re)Emerging Infectious Diseases," established in 2018. Additionally, he is the Southern Coordinator for the Inter-University Diploma in “Global Health” jointly organized by UGANC and the University of Montpellier.
A graduate in pharmacy from UGANC, Professor Touré also earned a Ph.D. in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Public Health from the University of Lyon.
