Biography
Claude François Mama is a Cameroonian legal scholar and researcher specializing in environmental law and natural resource governance. His doctoral work focuses on environmental democracy in relation to the protection of the right to a healthy environment. His research addresses epistemic justice and climate governance in Africa, with a particular focus on Cameroon. He combines legal analysis with empirical studies, notably on the role of local knowledge and traditional authorities in environmental policies. His recent work also explores citizen diplomacy in relation to regenerative blue economy, from a perspective of inclusive and sustainable governance of maritime and coastal spaces.
