Georgette Hélène Coumba SOW is a specialist in intercultural communication, focusing on public health, particularly maternal and child health and adolescent health. She holds a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She facilitates access to scientific data through visual storytelling and engages local communities. Her work includes the analysis of nutrition-related Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) interventions, using a decolonial and knowledge-ecological approach that highlights local voices and examines sociocultural dynamics. She is also interested in how emerging technologies are adopted by communities and their role in public health information and community participation. She is the creator of The GeoLens Show, promoting the diversity of knowledge at an international scale, and the founder of the Perpetual Love Foundation, which supports education, health, and the development of women and children in Africa.
