Mame-Penda Ba is a founding member and director of Laspad, executive secretary of the African Studies Association for Africa (ASAA) and editor of the journal Global Africa. She is a member of several international research networks including Critical Investigations on Humanitarianism in Africa (Cihablog). Her work covers public policy analysis (education, health, gender, decentralisation, security) and the sociology of religion.
