Lorsque je ne peux pas photographier d\u2019autres personnes, je me tourne vers mon environnement im- me\u0301diat, qui est la ville. Je suis donc un corps en relation qui photographie le vivant. Si \u00ab le corps ne\u0300gre \u00bb est le premier the\u0301a\u0302tre d\u2019ope\u0301rations, alors je me situe dans la droite ligne des pre\u0301occupations artistiques du monde caribe\u0301en qui m\u2019a forge\u0301e : l\u2019e\u0302tre et le lieu, le corps (du point de vue de la rede\u0301finition de son image, mais aussi le corps en tant que ve\u0301hicule narratif). Pourquoi la ville et le corps ? Parce que, comme le philosophe Denetem Touam Bona le dit : \u00ab Il existe un rapport intime entre la manie\u0300re dont une socie\u0301te\u0301 traite ses milieux de vie et ce qu\u2019elle fait de ses re\u0302ves. \u00bb Dakar est une ville fascinante, bouillonnante, mais aussi effrayante, telle une expres- sion de ce vers quoi nous conduit notre modernite\u0301. Le boom que vit Dakar est le symbole me\u0302me de la marchandisation inte\u0301grale du vivant et de l\u2019uniformisation des modes d\u2019existence. Notre activite\u0301 humaine, destructrice au nom du de\u0301veloppement capitaliste, me pre\u0301occupe. Selon Henri Laborit, l\u2019urbanisation renforce les capacite\u0301s d\u2019accroissement du profit et de consolidation de la structure socio-e\u0301conomique. La ville constitue un milieu essentiellement propice a\u0300 la production, a\u0300 la promotion, puis a\u0300 la diffusion de biens de consommation, sous couvert du mythe de la satisfaction des be- soins et de l\u2019acce\u0300s au bonheur pour tous. C\u2019est une forme d\u2019alie\u0301nation qui conduit a\u0300 la fuite en avant. Elle est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00c9cole d\u2019arts plastiques de la Martinique en 1989 et de l\u2019\u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure des arts d\u00e9coratifs de Paris dans la sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 photographie en 1996. <\/p><p>Elle poursuit une recherche photographique de forme narrative dans laquelle elle explore l\u2019humain, le social et l\u2019urbain. Elle a re\u00e7u le prix Casa Africa pour une femme photographe aux Rencontres photographiques de Bamako 2011. Jusqu\u2019en 2018, \u00c9lise Fitte-Duval a \u00e9t\u00e9 photographe \u00e9ditrice \u00e0 l\u2019agence panafricaine d\u2019information (PANAPRESS) qui a son si\u00e8ge \u00e0 Dakar.  <\/p><p> D\u00e9saugmentation de l\u2019artiste photographe Elise FitteDuval constitue le fil iconographique qui parcourt ce num\u00e9ro. Le corps est mon point de de\u0301part pour penser notre rap- port au vivant. Je tente d\u2019aborder les faits sociaux par la trace qu\u2019ils laissent dans le corps, comme une expe\u0301- rience subjective qui fait partie de la construction de notre monde. Il s\u2019agit de traiter l\u2019ide\u0301e que l\u2019espace que nous occupons, dans lequel nous circulons, interagit en permanence avec nos corps en mouvement. Le corps, point de contact entre l\u2019homme et le monde, est a\u0300 mi-che- min entre une inte\u0301riorite\u0301 et l\u2019exte\u0301riorite\u0301 qui l\u2019englobe ; ainsi est-il le lieu fondamental d\u2019une rencontre, celle que l\u2019humain fait a\u0300 chaque instant avec les autres et l\u2019uni- vers. Lorsque je ne peux pas photographier d\u2019autres personnes, je me tourne vers mon environnement im- me\u0301diat, qui est la ville. Je suis donc un corps en relation qui photographie le vivant. Si \u00ab le corps ne\u0300gre \u00bb est le premier the\u0301a\u0302tre d\u2019ope\u0301rations, alors je me situe dans la droite ligne des pre\u0301occupations artistiques du monde caribe\u0301en qui m\u2019a forge\u0301e : l\u2019e\u0302tre et le lieu, le corps (du point de vue de la rede\u0301finition de son image, mais aussi le corps en tant que ve\u0301hicule narratif). Pourquoi la ville et le corps ? Parce que, comme le philosophe Denetem Touam Bona le dit : \u00ab Il existe un rapport intime entre la manie\u0300re dont une socie\u0301te\u0301 traite ses milieux de vie et ce qu\u2019elle fait de ses re\u0302ves. \u00bb Dakar est une ville fascinante, bouillonnante, mais aussi effrayante, telle une expres- sion de ce vers quoi nous conduit notre modernite\u0301. Le boom que vit Dakar est le symbole me\u0302me de la marchandisation inte\u0301grale du vivant et de l\u2019uniformisation des modes d\u2019existence. Notre activite\u0301 humaine, destructrice au nom du de\u0301veloppement capitaliste, me pre\u0301occupe. Selon Henri Laborit, l\u2019urbanisation renforce les capacite\u0301s d\u2019accroissement du profit et de consolidation de la structure socio-e\u0301conomique. La ville constitue un milieu essentiellement propice a\u0300 la production, a\u0300 la promotion, puis a\u0300 la diffusion de biens de consommation, sous couvert du mythe de la satisfaction des be- soins et de l\u2019acce\u0300s au bonheur pour tous. C\u2019est une forme d\u2019alie\u0301nation qui conduit a\u0300 la fuite en avant. Partant de cette de\u0301finition, j\u2019essaie de trouver dans l\u2019image, avec le corps, une poe\u0301tique associe\u0301e a\u0300 la spatialite\u0301. Artiste n\u00e9e en Martinique, \u00c9lise Fitte-Duval vit et travaille au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal depuis une vingtaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es. Elle est dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00c9cole d\u2019arts plastiques de la Martinique en 1989 et de l\u2019\u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure des arts d\u00e9coratifs de Paris dans la sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 photographie en 1996. Elle poursuit une recherche photographique de forme narrative dans laquelle elle explore l\u2019humain, le social et l\u2019urbain. Elle a re\u00e7u le prix Casa Africa pour une femme photographe aux Rencontres photographiques de Bamako 2011. Jusqu\u2019en 2018, \u00c9lise Fitte-Duval a \u00e9t\u00e9 photographe \u00e9ditrice \u00e0 l\u2019agence panafricaine d\u2019information (PANAPRESS) qui a son si\u00e8ge \u00e0 Dakar.
